The area of North Upper Truckee is a very desirable neighborhood in South Lake Tahoe. Locals as well as second home owners appreciate the peaceful surroundings. The North Upper Truckee area is located southwest of the Y off of Lake Tahoe Blvd. and it extends south until North Upper Truckee intersects Hwy.50. Many of the lots back to National Forest. Meyers is a quiet neighborhood in South Lake Tahoe that is approximately 5 miles west of the Y on Hwy. 50. This area is located on the North side of Hwy. 50 at the Lake Tahoe Golf Course , and it extends where Hwy. 50 and the South Upper Truckee River intersect. This area is very diverse like many other neighborhoods in South Lake Tahoe. There are small older cabins as well as larger new homes. Many of the homes border the meadow, forest, or the Golf Course. Another desirable feature is the close proximity to the Lake Tahoe Environmental Magnet School which is considered one of the best elementary schools in South Lake Tahoe.
